I finally got my cute little box in the mail and was really looking forward to benefit’s new concealer. Then I read the very handy little lesson leaflet in the box and see they refer to using the included applicator spatula. I should have known better from those trendy folks at benefit to throw in another goody. Like most of benefit’s great line, erase paste instantly evens, brightens and erases blotches and redness with a few easy steps. Now admittedly there are some benefit products I’ve tried and since left to dry up in the drawer but I can see erase paste coming in handy when needed.

According to benefit ( and their crack Marketing team) Signs of stress & fatigue are a thing of the past with this innovative formula. This concentrated, creamy, blendable concealer instantly brightens & camouflages all-in-one. Well it did brighten me up a bit under my eyes and it did blend in well. I can’t say I’m in love the freebie flexi-plastic spatula but then again I can’t recommend sticking your fingers, no matter how clean, into the jar. A tube or even a small pump is preferable since anything you can stick back into an open jar or bottle can add to contamination. That fact aside this paste should really be called a cream – not too greasy and not too dry. Here’s the quick application advice from benefit – poof! your perfect instructions:
The tiny, too cool retro 0.15 oz tub come in three shades (1 fair, 2 medium and 3 deep) to match your particular skin tone. I received the medium and it’s a pretty good match for my winter skin. Again the long term likability remains to be seen but out of the box, it’s now on my daily (when necessary) routine.

If it wasn’t for the free thong from Hanky Panky would i still love thrrrob from benefit? You bet! First of all the brush is exactly what you need for a whisp of pink across the cheeks. The powder is meant to simulate the natural blush you get when excited, turned on or embarrassed – of course without the blotchiness or unevenness. If you’re looking for a little color and are feeling flirty then thrrrob is for you. It can be worn as an everyday powder as well to give you a little perk and color. Don’t over do it though and it will seem easy at first since it’s a light hue and soft coat but the color does come out great in natural light. Their packaging is a 10 like always. To die for with a retro twist and a picture of a laced-up teddy and fishnet stockings invoking some naughty thoughts?

If you’re planning on wearing that thong and having a little hanky panky of your own, throw your thrrrob in your bag for the morning after. It’ll cover up any evidence of a hard night before if needed!

Feeling blue never looked so great! I adore this mascara from Benefit. First of all – clumps are almost non existent here. The cool violet, creamy mascara glides on evenly using the brush supplied. The ultra deep blue (it’s almost electric violet if you ask me) is meant to enhance your eye color while making the whites of your eyes brighter and more striking. It really brings out the brown tones in my eyes and I’ve tried it on blue eyes as well and they really pop. When I’m in the mood for a subtle but funky change I layer BADgal blue on the tips of my lashes over my black. It makes my lashes look sultry and sexy. Remember you can’t skimp on your eyes. Like all Benefit products the packaging is totally retro cool and the 0.30 oz tube is more than enough for a long run of fun.
